Objective

The purpose of the project is to relieve parents of the significant financial burden of purchasing new school books for the ensuing academic year.

Selection of students eligible for a sponsorship

Students from low income families are eligible to apply for help under this project. 100 students are selected from existing beneficiaries of CandleAid and another 100 are selected randomly on a first come first serve basis. There are coordinators too who recommend students for assistance from disadvantaged communities. This project is also carried out in remote villages through selected CandleAid coordinators.
