Due to the extremely harsh weather conditions that prevailed in May 2017 , there was large scale flooding, disastrous landslides and cyclonic winds that affected the people of Sri Lanka in many parts of the country. CandleAid’s disaster relief project focused to assist affected families to rebuild their dwellings, livelihoods and more importantly their lives. We helped 399 families and 46 students, in addition to 5 centres.
