Disaster Relief 2017

Disaster Relief 2017

Sri Lanka’s euphoria in the excellent control of the pandemic in the first half of 2020 is now totally shrouded in despair. The spread of this virus is far and wide; necessitating lockdown of the entire Western Province.

Due to the vicious nature of the microorganism, even retail outlets are closed and people are dependent on delivery vans and online orders. Well and good for those of us who have the means to do so.

What about the impoverished families in our midst?

Once again CandleAid is sending out Rs. 3,000 to selected families in the Western Province whose breadwinners have become losers who no longer can win their daily bread. Please see our initial response by clicking the links to the left.
